Employment Specialist

Job Description

  

4 Get Me Not LLC is a vendor under the State of Arizona’s Department of Economic Security -Vocational Rehabilitation Department and provides services to individuals with disabilities to help them obtain and maintain competitive employment, pursue and obtain education and/or certifications related to their employment, develop skills to ensure success in employment, support job and work training skills and model for the individuals great work ethic and professionalism.

Qualifications

Must have at minimum, H.S. Diploma/GED and documented three (3) years of experience or Associates or Bachelors degree with two (2) years of experience working/caring directly with individuals with disabilities, ranging in various disabilities, mental health and/or physical disabilities and qualifications listed below; 

· Problem solving/analytical skills

· Own a computer(desktop PC and/or laptop) along with access to internet

· Proficient computer use and knowledge of word processing (somewhat tech savvy) 

· Strong written skills with ability to proof read and submit documentation.

· Reliable transportation 

· Valid AZ Drivers License

· Current registration & insurance

· Ability to obtain or possess a DPS (Department of Public Safety) Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

· Ability to pass annual background check Centralized Background Check (CBC) and E-Verify

· Must have a cell phone 

· Ability to work independently and discipline to manage your own work load

· Time management skills 

· Work location: Supporting individuals in the following Arizona counties: 

Maricopa County, Yavapai County, Pinal County, Gila County, Coconino County, Mohave County, La Paz County, Pima County and Yuma County.  

Responsibilities

· Responsibilities: As an Employment Specialist (Job Coach) you would be playing a vital role in serving, coaching, and learning from a diverse population of individuals with varying mental/behavioral/background and/or physical disabilities inn various employment settings, working with individuals that range from high school age to adults.

· Requires the ability to drive in the community to attend meetings and scheduled sessions with individuals.  

· Demonstrate and model professional and ethical employment behaviors at all times.

· Develop positive professional rapport with clients, counselors, employers and fellow team members. 

· Assist clients in identifying their professional strengths and challenges through services provided. 

· Write clear, objective and detailed case notes documenting you coaching, feedback and client/individual engagement. 

· Meet in person with clients in the community, place of employment, work training or other setting to support the individual in being successful with their employment outcomes. 

· Supporting individuals with learning skills related to employment;

-Resume development

-Application submission support

-Job searching skills 

-Job coaching and employment retention 

-Career Exploration 

-Support and familiarity with enrollment into training, certification or educational programs

-Mobility training (using Valley Metro transportation services)

-Soft Skills training and development

-Accommodation and disability disclosure support along with disability benefits counseling.

Benefits

· 1099 Position (Subcontractor position), great for anyone looking to earn money part-time and have some flexibility with their schedule

· $20.00-$30.00 per hour based on experience

· Compensation: Position starts at $20/Hr (depending on experience) 

· Job Type- Part time (Subcontractor position) 

· Expected hours; Varies based on experience and how big you want to build your caseload

No additional benefits are offered as this is a subcontracting position.
